ACT No. 30 AN ACT To amend Act 98 of 1878, being "An Act to create an additional justice of the peace and constable in the third ward of the parish of Caddo, and to provide for the election of same," by amending Section 2 thereof, as amended by Act 101 of 1900, to redefine the area from which the justice of the peace and constable are elected.

ACT No. 102 AN ACT To create the city court of Slidell, Louisiana, with territorial jurisdiction extending throughout all of Ward 9 and that part of Ward 8 of St. Tammany Parish which lies within the city limits of the City of Slidell and which territorial jurisdiction shall continue to expand in said Ward 8 as the said city limits of said City of Slidell shall be expanded, providing for the necessary employees and officers of said courts; defining the qualifications, powers and terms of office of said employees; providing the salaries and fees of employees and officials of said court, and regulating in general the authority, jurisdiction and procedure in said court.

ACT No. 130 AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 1872 A of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 relative to the creation of city courts in cities of more than 5,000 inhabitants so as to require that the question of creating such courts in wards of more than 50,000 inhabitants be submitted to the electors residing within the territorial jurisdiction of the court for their approval or rejection.

ACT No. 255 AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 27 of Act 14 of 1914, as amended and re-enacted by Act 611 of 1954, an Act entitled: "An Act to incorporate the City of Bogalusa, in the Fourth Ward of the Parish of Washington; to provide for the Government and administration of the affairs thereof by a Commission Council, the first members of which shall be appointed by the Governor; to provide for the election and recall of the members of said Council; to prohibit any member of said Commission Council from being directly or indirectly interested pecuniarily in any contract or business in the City, making the violation thereof a misdemeanor the* providing penalty for same; to constitute the territory of said City a school district; to limit the power of the police jury of Washington Parish; to levy Parish taxes and licenses therein; to prohibit the sale of intoxicating liquors, wine or beer within the limits of said City; to provide for the establishment of the City Court of Bogalusa, defining its jurisdiction and the right of appeal therefrom; to provide for the election of a Judge and Constable for said Court in Ward Four of the Parish of Washington, and the abolition of the Justice of the peace and constables now in said ward; to provide for the appointment of a Clerk of said City Court; and defining his powers and duties; and abolish the Village of Richardsontown, in said Parish; and to provide for the compensation of said Judge, Constable and Clerk; fixing qualifications, duties and salary of City Attorney; to authorize said City to borrow money for its support until taxes for the year 1915 are collected; to repeal all laws and parts of law in conflict with this Act;" specifically repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith.

ACT No. 321 AN ACT To amend Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Section, to be designated as R.S. 13:1952.1, to create and establish the City Court of Ville Platte and to abolish the offices of the justice of the peace and constable of Ward 1 of Evangeline Parish upon the expiration of the terms of their office; to provide for the exercise of exclusive jurisdiction by justice of the peace to the extent of the jurisdiction presently vested in the justice of the peace court by the constitution and the laws of this state until the termination of the offices of the justice of the peace and constable; and to provide for the election of the initial city court judge and marshal.
