Parades generally involve large groups of people packed closely together along the street, with other groups slowly moving down the street. Because of these special events, laws are often modified to fit the circumstances. For example, penalties for firearm laws can be increased. Because parades often include vehicles not designed for normal street use (floats, easy chairs, a giant shoe) normal motor vehicle laws are eased.
