A Brief History of the Orleans Civil District Court: 1958

ACT No. 253      AN ACT
To authorize the Clerk of the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans to deliver to the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans any sum of money deposited in the Registry of the Court and ordered and decreed by the Court to be credited to or paid to the order of the State of Louisiana, or any department or agency thereof, as the result of the expropriation suit brought by the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans entitled "Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans vs. P. M. Realty Company, Inc., et als",* being Docket No. 357-027 of the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans, State of Louisiana. Due notice of intention to apply for passage of this Act has been published, and evidence of such notice having been published has been exhibited in the Legislature, all as prescribed by and in accordance with Article IV, Section 6 of the Constitution of Louisiana of 1921.    * As it appears in  the enrolled bill.

ACT No. 319     AN ACT
To amend and re-enact Section 914 of Title 13 of the Revised Statute* of 1950, to authorize Clerk of Courts* and Ex-Officio Recorders and Registers of Conveyance and Recorders of mortgages* throughout the State to record Judicial records either in bound books or by means of photo-recording, photo-copying, microphotographic process, or other photographic method of reproduction.       * As it appears in  the enrolled bill.

To repeal Sections 1851, 1852, 1853, 1854, 1855, 1856 and 1857 of Part VI of Title 33 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 relative to the Court House Commission in the City of New Orleans.
