AN ACT to create and establish a new Parish in the County of Attakapas, to be called the Parish of Lafayette.
SECT. 8. And be it further enacted, That the parish of Lafayette shall form a part of the fifth judicial District, and that a District Court shall be held there on the last Monday of November of the present year, 1823, and on the last Mondays of May and November of every subsequent year.
