AN ACT to create a new Parish in the county of Attakapas, to be called the Parish of Vermillion.

SEC. 8. Be it further enacted, &c., That the Parish of Vermillion shall form part of the Fifth Judicial District of the State, and the District Court for said Parish, shall be held on the Monday next preceding the time now fixed by law for holding the District Court in the Parish of Lafayette, to last one week only.

AN ACT to create a new Parish in the Parish of Ouachita, to be called the Parish of Morehouse.

SEC. 7. Be it further enacted, &c. That the Parish of Morehouse shall form a part of the Seventh Judicial District of the State, and the District Court for said Parish shall be held at the Seat of Justice thereof, twice a year, on the first Monday of March and September, and it shall be the duty of the District Judge of said District, to appoint a Clerk of the District Court of said Parish, who shall also be Clerk of the Parish Court.
