A Brief History of the Louisiana Juvenile Courts: 1910

1910

Act No 48 of 1910 suspended the provisions of Act No. 83 of 1908 for parishes outside of Orleans, except those containing an incorporated town with over 7,000 inhabitants. The Police Jury of such a parish could make application to the Governor for a Juvenile Court. By Act No. 135 of 1910, this amendment was submitted to the electors as a constitutional amendment. It was approved by the electors in November 1910.
