Act 219: AN ACT
To amend Section 1714 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Subsection, to be designated as
Subsection C thereof, to provide with respect to the temporary custody of a child pending the determination of the validity of a custody decree of another state, and to provide with respect thereto.

Act 267: AN ACT
To amend and reenact Section 1587.1 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to probation officers and other employees of the Juvenile Court for the parish of Orleans to provide for a bailiff, a stenographer, and a minute clerk for each section of the Juvenile Court for the parish of Orleans; to provide for other personnel of the court; to authorize the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Resources to appoint probation officers and other probation personnel for the said court; to establish the method of compensation for all personnel of the said court; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto. Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the constitution of Louisiana.

Act 460: AN ACT
To amend and reenact Sections 1136 and 1595.1 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, and to amend said Title 13 by adding thereto three new Sections to be designated as R.S. 13:1138 through R.S. 13:1140, relative to courts in Orleans Parish, to establish two new judgeships in the Civil District Court in the parish of Orleans; to provide with respect to the election, qualifications, terms of office, and compensation of the judges elected to those judgeships; to provide with respect to the creation of the Domestic Relations Section of the Civil District Court for the parish of Orleans, to provide for the judges, jurisdiction, and transfer of cases to the Domestic Relations Section; to reduce from two to one the number of additional judges authorized for the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court, to change the dates on which the additional juvenile court judge shall be elected and take office; to repeal Act No. 202 of the 1978 Regular Session of the Legislature, relative to the effective date of the additional judgeship for the juvenile court; and to repeal Chapter 5-B of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, comprised of R.S. 13:1421 through R.S. 13:1427, relative to the Orleans Parish Family Court; and to provide with respect to related matters.

Act 641: AN ACT
To amend and reenact Section 1598 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the proper person to preside over the Juvenile Court for the Parish of Jefferson in the absence of the judge of that court, to provide that any judge of the Twenty-Fourth Judicial District Court may preside; to provide that the absent judge may appoint an attorney who has the requisite qualifications for a juvenile judge; to provide that if the absent judge from an incapacity is unable to appoint an attorney, the judge or judges of the juvenile court shall appoint one; to provide that an attorney so appointed shall serve during the entire absence and shall receive the same salary as the absent judge; to provide that the absent judge shall continue to receive all salary and other benefits, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

Act 666: AN ACT
To amend Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of, 1950 by adding thereto a new Section to be designated as Section 1587.3 relative to the power of certain ranking officers in the juvenile division in municipalities and parishes to administer oaths and verify complaints of other police officers for the taking into custody of children; and to provide further with respect thereto.
