Act 429: AN ACT
To amend Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Section, to be designated as R.S. 13:1606, relative to adoption, to provide with respect to registration of certain children with the office of human development of the Department of Health and Human Resources, to require the department to make reports concerning the permanent placement of such children, to provide for periodic review hearings, to provide for attorneys, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

Act 576: AN ACT
To amend the first unnumbered Paragraph and Subsections B and D of Section 1601 and Subsection A of Section 1603 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, and to amend said Section 1601 by adding thereto three new Subsections, to be designated as Subsections E, F, and G thereof, all relative to the termination of parental rights, to provide for certain conditions under which the court or the district attorney may petition for the termination of parental rights, to require that such conditions be proven by clear and convincing evidence, to provide for termination of parental rights of a parent who is incarcerated or is mentally ill or mentally retarded or a substance abuser, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

Act 588: AN ACT
To amend and reenact Section 1587 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, and to amend said Title 13 by adding thereto a new Section, to be designated as Section 1415 thereof, relative to the authority of the judges of juvenile courts and of family courts to hire one law clerk, as funds become available for the purpose, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.
