To regulate the practice in the district courts of the parish of Orleans.
No. 2.] AN ACT
To establish an additional District Court for the parish of Orleans; to define and limit the jurisdiction, and to determine the powers thereof; to provide for the transfer of certain cases now depending before certain other district courts for said parish to the court hereby created; to authorize the Governor to appoint a Judge and a Clerk for said court, and to provide a court-room for said court; to abolish the Seventh and Eighth District Courts for the parish of Orleans, and to provide for the transfer of the records and suits in said Seventh and Eighth District Courts to other courts in said parish.
