Drone Laws of Louisiana: Home

Drones

Drones are a relatively new phenomenon. As a result, the statutes enacted by the legislature are also somewhat new. The legislature use the terms "unmanned aircraft systems" and "unmanned aerial systems" to refer to drones.

One should expect this area of the law to soon explode with new state statutes, rules, and ordinances. This libguide only presents information on Louisiana law; federal law, including that of the FAA, is not included.
