The Supreme Court modified the Articles of Incorporation of the Louisiana State Bar Association, but not their own Rules. Due to the conflict in Korea, the "diploma privilege" was extended to any graduate of any Association of American Law Schools (AALS) approved law school or Southern University Law School of Louisiana. It also provided that after October 1, 1956, the "high school" diploma standard would be raised to three years of college.
