The Rules of the Louisiana Supreme Court, effective January 1, 1952, contained a great simplification from the prior version. Rule XV, on Requirements for Admission to the Bar, listed a single sentence:
"The rules as set forth in Article XII of the Articles of Incorporation of the Louisiana State Bar Association, which were adopted as rules of this Court on March 12th, 1941, shall govern all admissions to the bar."
