Applicants who had been graduated in the Law Schools of Tulane University of Louisiana, Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College and Loyola University, were granted their licenses upon producing their diplomas. This was the so-called "diploma privilege."
Applicants who studied under an attorney for at least three years had to be examined by the proper Committee.
