Act 118 was an act to amend and re-enact Subsection A of Section 1566 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to change the official name of the Juvenile Court in the Parish of Orleans to the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court.

Act 345: AN ACT
To amend and re-enact Section 1585 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, by providing for the assessment of costs against the defendant in proceedings filed under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:75, in municipalities with a population in excess of 500,000 inhabitants, and in parishes having a population between 200,000 and 215,000 according to the 1960 United States census where, in criminal neglect of family cases after a conviction or plea of guilty, instead of imposing the punishment and/or fine provided for in R.S. 14:74, the Court, in its discretion has issued an order directing the defendant to pay a certain sum weekly or at such periods as the Court may direct; and further providing for the assessment of costs against the defendant in proceedings taken under R.S. 14:75 where the defendant has violated the terms of such order as provided for in Paragraph 1 of R.S. 14:75 and the defendant is adjudged guilty of contempt by failing to comply with the judgment or order of the Court in paying the alimony assessed: and regulating the amount of costs assessed against the defendant by providing that said costs shall not exceed the sum of 5% of any such fine imposed, and when weekly or periodic payments are ordered, instead of the imposition of fine and/or punishment, providing that such costs shall not exceed 5% of all such periodic payments when ordered paid through the registry of the Court; and providing that all such costs collected hereunder shall be deposited in the Judicial Expense Fund of the Court assessing such costs.
