ACT No. 49. AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 8 of Act No. 167 of the General Assembly of the State of Louisiana of 1904 entitled “An Act to amend and re-enact Sections 2, 8, 9, 19, 35, 44, 47, and 73 of Act No. 214 of 1902, approved July 10th, 1902, entitled “An Act in relation to free public schools and to regulate public education in the State of Louisiana ; to provide a revenue for the same, and impose certain penalties; and to apply fines imposed by district courts and amounts collected on bonds, to the purpose of public education.'

ACT No. 271. AN ACT An Act requiring that mechanics employed on all State or public buildings or public works in cities exceeding ten thousand (10,000) population throughout the State, shall be citizens of the State, except under certain conditions, and shall have paid one (1) poll tax; and providing penalties for the violation of its provisions.
