AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 115 (as amended by Act 343 of 1952) of Title 56 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to open season for taking migratory game birds and the bag limits and other rules and regulations affecting migratory game birds; and Section 123 (as amended by Act 343 of 1952) of Title 56, Part III, Wild Birds and Game, of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 relative to open season.

AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 124 of Title 56 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to protected game animals by amending and re-enacting sub-section (1) thereof to prohibit the taking or killing of deer with horns less than six inches long, to prohibit the hunting and/or shooting of deer at any time with a .22 caliber rifle, to prohibit the hunting and/or shooting of deer while standing on highway or road right-of-way, and to prohibit the standing or loitering on a highway or road right-of-way with a gun during deer season; to repeal the provision thereof prohibiting hunting furbearing animals with dogs and permitting wild life agents to kill on sight dogs running deer or game during closed season and all stray and unlicensed dogs or cats found on preserve or elsewhere by deleting Sub-section 9 of Section 124, and to add thereto a new Sub-section to be designated R.S. 56:124(12), to prohibit the running at large in the woods of dogs not on a leash from April 1st through August 31st.
