The provisions of Article 201 of the Constitution, that for any of the causes enumerated in Article 196 district attorneys, clerks of court, sheriffs, coroners, recorders, justices of the peace, and all other parish, municipal and ward officers, shall be removed by judgment of the District Court of the domicile of such officer (in the parish of Orleans the Civil District Court) are not exclusive of all other methods by which municipal officers may le displaced. The power granted by the General Assembly in Sees. 58 et seq. of the charter of New Orleans to the Common Council to remove the recorders of the Recorder's Courts by impeachment proceedings is constitutionally granted.
