1964 ACT No. 109

 

AN ACT To enact Section 221, to amend and re-enact Sections 222- 233, and to add Sections 234-237, of Title 17 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to compulsory school attendance, discipline and suspension of pupils, unadjustable or incorrigible children, exemptions from compulsory attendance, visiting teachers, or supervisors of child welfare and attendance, records of attendance, habitual absence or tardiness, mentally or physically deficient children, cooperation with other state agencies; to provide penalties for violating the provisions of this Act; to authorize the Governor to suspend the provisions of Sections 221, 230 and 233 of said Title, pursuant to the authority contained in Article XIX, Section 5, of the Constitution of Louisiana; to define a school within the meaning of said Title; and to repeal all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith.
