AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 17:236.1(A), relative to approval of home study programs; to provide a time limitation for initial application to the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education; to provide for notification of the appropriate local public school system superintendent of applications for home study and actions taken thereon, and to provide for related matters.

To amend and reenact R.S. 17:223 and 416.1(B) and to enact R.S. 17:416.1(C), relative to corporal punishment, to provide that parish and city school boards shall have discretion in the use of corporal punishment, and to provide for related matters.
