AN ACT To amend and reenact Sections 1909, 1931 and 1995 of Title 47 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to assessors and assessment procedure in Orleans Parish, to provide with respect to the powers and authority of assessors in Orleans Parish and with respect thereto; to provide with respect to the membership of the board of reviewers in Orleans Parish; to provide with respect to the inspection of assessment rolls of each assessor in Orleans Parish and also with respect to the certification of the assessment rolls of each assessor in Orleans Parish to the board of review; and to provide with respect thereto.
A JOINT RESOLUTION Proposing an amendment to Section 23.1 of Article XIV of the Constitution of Louisiana, for the purpose of amending the procedure for investing surplus funds in the construction and extension fund.
A JOINT RESOLUTION Proposing an amendment and reenactment of Section 23.3 of Article XIV of the Constitution of Louisiana relative to authorizing the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans to fix rates to be charged to private users of the water system and the purposes for which such revenues may be used, and to collect the same from certain persons who use the water system, including the funding thereof into water revenue bonds and the procedure to be followed in the fixing of rates, for the purpose of eliminating the maximum rate or rates of interest to be borne by the bonds issued under authority of Section 23.3 of Article XIV, amending the provision requiring authorization by vote of property owners and substituting authorization by registered voters for bond issue if amount required for servicing outstanding water revenue bonds exceeds the sum of $1,750,000; and amending the procedure for investing idle funds from the proceeds of water revenue bonds.
A JOINT RESOLUTION Proposing an amendment and reenactment of Section 23.7 of Article XIV of the Constitution of Louisiana relative to authorizing the sewerage and water board of New Orleans to issue bonds payable solely out of certain tax levies for water, sewerage and drainage purposes for the City of New Orleans and certain other revenues of the sewerage and water board of New Orleans, for the purpose of eliminating the maximum rate or rates of interest to be borne by the bonds issued under authority of Section 23.4 of Article XIV of the Constitution.
A JOINT RESOLUTION Proposing an amendment to Section 23.9 of Article XIV of the Constitution of Louisiana relative to authorizing the sewerage and water board of New Orleans to issue bonds payable solely out of certain tax levies for water, sewerage and drainage purposes for the city of New Orleans and certain other revenues of the sewerage and water board of New Orleans for the purpose of providing for the investment of bond proceeds.
A JOINT RESOLUTION Proposing an amendment and reenactment of Section 23.28 of Article XIV of the Constitution of Louisiana relative to the fixing of sewerage rates to be charged to the users of the sewerage system by the sewerage and water board of New Orleans and the purposes for which such revenues may be used, and to collect the same from certain persons who use the sewerage system, including the fund ing of the revenues into sewerage service revenue bonds and the procedure to be followed in the fixing of rates, for the purpose of eliminating the maximum rate or rates of interest to be borne by the bonds issued under authority of Section 23.28 of Article XIV of the Constitution and amending the procedure for investing idle funds from the proceeds of sewerage service revenue bonds.
A JOINT RESOLUTION Proposing an amendment and reenactment of Sections 23.31 and 23.33 of Article XIV of the Constitution of Louisiana relative to authorizing and directing the city of New Orleans to levy and collect for the year 1971 and annually thereafter, for fifty years, a special ad valorem tax of six mills on all property, real, personal, and mixed located in the city of New Orleans, for the construction, extension, operation and maintenance of the drainage system of said city of New Orleans; to authorize the issuance of bonds payable solely out of certain tax levies for drainage purposes for the city of New Orleans and certain other revenues of the sewerage and water board of New Orleans; to amend the procedure for investing idle funds from the drainage system fund.
A JOINT RESOLUTION Proposing an amendment and reenactment of Section 23.35 of Article XIV of the Constitution of Louisiana relative to authorizing the issuance of bonds payable solely out of certain tax levies for drainage purposes for the city of New Orleans and certain other revenues of the sewerage and water board of New Orleans, for the purpose of eliminating the maximum rate or rates of interest to be borne by the bonds issued under authority of Section 23.32 of 1726 Act 723 Article XIV of the Constitution; to raise the maximum percentage for servicing said bonds from one-tenth of one percent to one-fourth of one percent of the assessed valuation of property in the city of New Orleans.
A JOINT RESOLUTION Proposing an amendment to Section 23.37 of Article XIV of the Constitution of Louisiana relative to authorizing the issuance of bonds payable solely out of certain tax levied for drainage purposes for the city of New Orleans and certain other revenues of the sewerage and water board of New Orleans, for the purpose of providing for the investment of bond proceeds.
A JOINT RESOLUTION Proposing an amendment to Article XIV of the Constitution of Louisiana by adding thereto a new section relative to the power and authority of the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans to lien property to finance the cost of drainage improvements in certain undrained sections of the City of New Orleans and the issuance and sale of certificates of indebtedness secured by such liens.
