1995 Act No. 56

AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 32:327(D) and 351(D), relative to equipment on certain vehicles; to provide for the use of flashing red lights and sirens on parade vehicles by members of certain organizations; and to provide for related matters.

AN ACT To amend and reenact the heading of Part V of Chapter 8 of Title 40 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and R.S. 40:1732 through 1744, and to repeal R.S. 40:1745 and 1746, relative to the accessibility of quasi public agency or public and governmental facilities to persons with disabilities; to adopt federal standards for such access; to provide for the application of such standards to newly constructed or altered facilities; to provide for the enforcement of such standards by the state fire marshal and other officials including provisions for the review of plans for proposed construction or alteration and the inspection of completed construction or alteration; to provide relative to parking spaces for the disabled; to provide for fines and penalties; and to provide for related matters.

AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 40:1355 and 1356, relative to drivers' licenses; to limit the liability of health care providers who submit reports concerning persons who hold drivers' licenses and persons who apply for drivers' licenses; to provide immunity from civil liability and criminal prosecution for health care providers who make reports which allow persons to obtain drivers' licenses; to provide immunity from civil liability for members of the Louisiana Medical Advisory Board who make decisions without malice and in the reasonable belief that the decision is warranted by the information presented to the board; to provide that health care providers who make reports concerning a person's ability to drive shall not be guarantors of that person's ability to drive; to provide for review by the board of information relative to handicapped parking privileges and recommendations pursuant to such review to the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners; and to provide for related matters.
