AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 18:114(F)(2) and (6), 135(A), 192(A)(1), 402(D), (E)(1)(c), and (e) and (E)(2)(c) and (e), and (F)(3), (5), and (6), 431(A)(4)(b), 433(A)(1), 434(C), 435(A), 443(B)(2), 443.2 (introductory paragraph) and (2)(b), 467(4), 501(B), 514, 533(E), 574(D) and (E)(1), 583(BX3), (C), and (D), 1257, 1259(B), 1260, 1300.2(C) and (D), 1300.7(A), 1303(A)(2), 1307(C), 1314(C)(1) and (D)(1)(b), 1400.1(B)(1) (introductory paragraph), 1400.2(B)(1) (introductory paragraph), and 1400.3(B)(1) (introductory paragraph), and to enact R.S. 18:443(BX3) and (4), 443.2(2Xc) and (d), 1400.1(BX1Xe), 1400.2(B)(1Xe), 1400.3(B)(1)(e),.and 1471, relative to elections and the Election Code; to allow assistance to voters registering to vote at driver's license facilities and to clarify the prohibition on accepting a voter registration application of a person who is already registered to vote; to make certain provisions which are applicable to parishes and municipalities with a population of five hundred thousand or more applicable instead to a parish containing a municipality with a population of five hundred thousand or raore; to provide with respect to election dates in parishes containing a municipality with a population of five hundred thousand or more; to delete a provision requiring a commissioner-in-charge to attend a general course of instruction for commissioners within the previous year; to provide for the issuing of commissions to com-missioners before any election; to provide for one watcher per precinct for each candidate; to provide qualifying and election procedures for election of members of the state central committees; to provide criteria for applicability of special provisions for composition, apportionment, and election of members of a state central committee; to provide for withdrawal deadlines for refunding of qualifying fees; to provide a deadline for filing precinct rental lease contracts; to provide for the compiling and promulgation of proposed constitutional amendments; to provide for filling of an anticipated vacancy; to extend the time period for governmental entities to make certain appointments and call certain elections; to provide with respect to presidential elector candidates qualifying by the payment of a fee; to correct the discrepancy concerning the arrangement of information on the ballot in presidential elections; to provide an alternative date to submit certain recall petitions; to clarify that recall petitions must comply with R.S. 18:3; to delete the requirement of a physician's certificate certifying hospitalization for absentee voting; to extend the time period for issuing proclamations by the governor for recall elections; to extend the time for registrars to accept requests for voting absentee by mail from servicemen and persons residing outside the United States; to reduce the minimum number of absentee commissioners; to provide for the payment of certain costs of elections on proposed constitutional amendments; to provide an alternate day for the closing of registration records when the deadline falls on a legal holiday, Saturday, or Sunday; to provide for temporary restraining orders in cases regarding a violation of the election code, and to provide effective dates; and to provide for related matters.

AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 56:115(B) as amended by Section 3 of Act 837 of the 1981 Regular Session, and R.S. 56:256(A), 262, and 262.1(C) and (J), to enact R.S. 56:253(C), 255(C), and 256(C), and to repeal R.S. 56:115(B) as amended by Section 1 of Act 736 of the 1981 Regular Session, and R.S. 56:264, 265, and 279; relative to fur animal and alligator hunting and raising; to provide for violations and penalties; and to provide for related matters.
