AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 18:59(I) (2), 61(A) (1), 62(A), 103(A), (B) (introductory paragraph) and (B)(3) and (4) (introductory paragraph), (C) (introductory para- graph) and (C) (3) and (4) (introductory paragraph), and (D), 104(A) (introductory paragraph) and (A) (15), 105(A), 106(A), (B), and (D), 110(A)(1) and (B)(2), 111, 113, 114(A), (B), (D), (E), (F)(2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), and (9), and (I), 135(B) (introductory paragraph) and (C), 152(A)(2), (C)(2), and (D), 157, 175(A) and (D), 176(A), 192(A) (1) (b) and (2)(b), 193, 195, 198, 521(C) (1), 562(A), 565(B) and (C), 571 (11), 573(E), 1312(E), 1315(C), 1321(A), 1332(B)(1), 1333(C) and (G)(1), and 1461(A)(18) and (19); to enact R.S. 18:2(8), (9), and (10), 18(A)(6), 104(F), 110(D), 1140), (IQ, and (L), 115, 116, 117, 154(E), 171.1, 174(C), 196, 431.1(C)(6), 1303(A)(16), 1333(G)(7), and 1461(A)(20); and to repeal R.S. 18:58(E), 59(K), 59.2(F), 59.4, 61(C), 61.1, 61.2, 114(C), 133(F), 152(A)(1)(d), 192(A)(2)(c), 194, and Part II of Chapter 7-A of Title 18, comprised of R.S. 18:1325, all relative to voter registration and elections; to provide for the implementation of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993; to provide procedures relative to voter registration for all elections; to provide for the registration of voters at driver's license facilities; to provide for registration of voters at other designated agencies; to provide for voter registration by mail; to provide for verification mailings for mail registration; to provide procedure relative to the removal of voters from the voting rolls; to provide procedures to allow certain persons to vote; to provide for certain violations and penalties; and to provide for related matters.
