1977 Act No. 113

AN ACT To amend and reenact Sections 1, 2, 4, and 5; Paragraphs (2) and (13) of Subsection A and Subsection C of Section 41; Subsection A of Section 56; Sections 57 and 61; Subsections A and B of Section 62; Subsection A of Section 143.1; Sections 190 and 190.1; Subsections A and B of Section 235; Sections 236, 251, and 253; Subsection C of Section 282; Subsection B of Section 289; Subsection A of Section 328, Sections 330, 331, 332 and 345; Subsection D of Section 351; Section 361; Subsection A of Section 367; Sections 370, 371, 372, and 374; Subsection B of Section 375; Sections 376 and 377; the entirety of Part VI of Chapter 1, to be comprised of Sections 379 through 389, both inclusive; Sections 391 and 392; Subsections B, C, D, E, and F of Section 393; Subsections A, B and C of Section 393.1; Sections 394 through 397; and Subsection A of Section 398.1, all of Title 32 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, and Paragraphs (2), (5), (9), (12), (15), and (32) of Section 451 and Section 462 of Title 47 of said Louisiana Revised Statutes; to amend Title 32 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 to add thereto new Sections, to be designated as Sections 198, 379 and 380 thereof, and also to amend Section 451 of Title 47 of said Louisiana Revised Statutes to add thereto new Paragraphs, to be designated as Paragraphs (la), (32a), (35a), and (41a) thereof, all relative to the Highway Regulatory Act and matters pertaining thereto in the Vehicle Registration License Tax Law, all in order to define and redefine terms; to remove conflicts and effect changes made necessary by the Reorganization Act, being Act No. 513 of the 1976 Regular Session of the Legislature, and to provide with respect to the authorities of the Department of Transportation and Development and the Department of Public Safety; to provide with respect to the operation of motorized bicycles; to provide with respect to size, weight and load of vehicles; special permits, including special permits under stated conditions affecting farm products and forest products both in their natural state and special harvest season weight permits for farm products in their natural state; penalties, and payment and enforcement procedures, including the creation of a weights and standards police force with authority to enforce the vehicle size, weight, and load laws of the state; to provide with respect to registration and licensing of trucks and trailers; to specifically repeal Paragraphs (18) and (55) of Section 1 as enacted by Act No. 310 of the 1962 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature, Subsection A of Section 289 as enacted by Act No. 191 of the 1976 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature, and Section 294 of Title 32 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and also to specifically repeal Paragraphs (16), (19), (36) and (37) of Section 451, Paragraph (3) of Subsection A of Section 463, and Section 463.1, all of Title 47 of said Louisiana Revised Statutes, and otherwise generally and specifically to provide with respect thereto.

1977 Act No. 625

AN ACT To amend Chapter 8 of Title 40 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, by adding a new Part thereto, to be designated as Part V, consisting of Sections 1731 through 1746, relative to the barrier free design and equal access of all individuals to the built environment, to provide for the adoption of barrier free standards and the enforcement thereof; to provide for accessibility to public and governmental buildings and improved areas; to provide for the approval of construction plans of public and governmental facilities before construction begins; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

1977 Act No. 755

AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 531 of Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, as enacted by Act No. 697 of the 1976 Regular Session of the Legislature, to allow a physically handicapped voter whose regular polling place is inaccessible to him to vote at the nearest polling place within the ward and district which is accessible to him, and to provide with respect thereto.
