AN ACT Making an appropriation to defray the ordinary expenses of the Government; to pay the interest on the public debt; and to support public schools and public charities in the State of Louisiana; to build and repair public levees; to maintain the State Penitentiary and other State departments for the year commencing July 1, 1936, and ending June 30, 1937, and for the year commencing July 1, 1937, and ending June 30, 1938.

ACT NO. 72. House Bill No. 294. By Messrs. Burke, Morvant and Stich. AN ACT To amend and re-enact the title and Sections 7 and 8 of Act 166 of the Regular Session of 1934, entitled: "An Act relating to the Board of Administrators of the Charity Hospital of Louisiana at New Orleans, declaring and continuing said Board as a body corporate, authorizing the demolition of presently unsuitable buildings and the construction of new Hospital and appurtenant buildings, furnishings and equipment therefor, and the reconstruction, repair and/or improvement of any of its existing buildings and/or facilities; authorizing the erection of such temporary and ad interim buildings and/or facilities as may be necessary; authorizing the borrowing of money or funds and the issuance and sale of bonds or other obligations for the construction of buildings and facilities for the purposes hereinbefore and hereinafter specified, to an amount not to exceed Eight Million Dollars ($8,000,- 000.00); authorizing the pledge of revenues and/or other funds and avails to secure the payment of said bonds or obligations; providing for the continuance of fees, charges, rates, fines, penalties, licenses or other funds presently dedicated, those which may be dedicated, and those funds dedicated to the use of the Hospital by the provisions of Act 8 of 1932, as amended, and providing for the disposition and application of any unused balance of said dedication; and authorizing an agreement with the Federal Government by the Board of Administrators for a loan and/or grant for the use of the Hospital, for the purposes of this Act."

ACT No. 83. AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 11 of Act 10 of the First Extraordinary Session of 1935, entitled: "An Act to levy an annual franchise tax on all corporations for the privilege of carrying on, doing business, the exercising of their charters, or the continuance of their charters, within this State; to provide for reports to the Secretary of State by said corporations, and providing for the determination and summary collection of said tax; providing for the exemption of certain corporations; providing for the seizure and sale of property of delinquent tax debtors hereunder; providing funds for the enforcement of this Act; providing penalties for failure to comply with the provisions of this Act, providing for a lien and. privilege on the property of delinquents, and providing for the disposition of said tax when collected."

ACT No. 108. AN ACT To provide that certified copies of the charts and records of the Charity Hospitals of this State shall be received in evidence in the Courts of this State as prima facie proof of their contents.
