ACT No. 211 AN ACT Making a supplemental appropriation in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-Two Million, Three Hundred Fifteen Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy-Four Dollars ($122,315,474.00), or so much thereof as may be necessary, out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for the fiscal year 1970-1971 for the ordinary expenses of certain departments and purposes of the state and the im- plementation of certain programs of state government, including specifically additional and supplemental appropriations to the Public School Fund for salaries of public school teachers, bus operators and other public school employees and for salary supplementals for teachers in special schools and correctional institutions; to the Division of Administration to implement pay increases for classified employees of the state; to the Charity Hospital of Louisiana at New Orleans and to the Confederate Memorial Hospital and to the State Department of Hospitals for hospitals under its control and administration; to the state penitentiary at Angola; to the Department of Public Welfare for public assistance grants; to the Louisiana State University, to the Louisiana State University at New Orleans and to the State Department of Education for the universities and colleges of the state under its administration, to pay the increases in the supplemental pay of police and firemen payable by the state; to the city of New Orleans for support of tourism; for general assistance to municipalities and parishes having no incorporated municipalities and providing with respect to the expenditure of said supplemental appropriation.

Act No. 261 AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 131 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of 1950 so as to give The Charity Hospital of Louisiana in New Orleans the authority to keep operating receipts, and collections other than patient care income, of all kinds made by it and authorize it to withhold said funds from the state treasury and deposit the funds in a special account by such hospital to be used for drugs, biological and surgical supplies, anesthetic gases, X-ray and radiological film, laboratory equipment and expenses, special hospital items, and systems.

ACT No. 262 AN ACT To authorize and direct the State Bond Commission to issue bonds or other obligations of the State of Louisiana in an amount not to exceed Three Million Dollars ($3,000,000.00), to provide funds for additional construction and ren- ovation within the Charity Hospital of Louisiana at New Orleans complex, and required auxiliary equipment and furnishings and renovations of admit area and air conditioning and improvements to patient areas, the Project, said bonds or other obligations to be issued in lieu of a like amount of bonds authorized but not issued under the provisions of Act No. 97 of the Regular Session of 1966, as amended by Act No. 8 of the Extraordinary Session of 1966, and by Act No. 18 of the Regular Session of 1967; to provide for the payment of said bonds from the Bond Security and Redemption Fund; and to otherwise provide with respect to all of the above.
