ACT No. 13   AN ACT Making appropriations for the ordinary expenses of the State Government, pensions, public schools, public roads, public charities, and State institutions and providing with respect to the expenditure of said appropriation.

Act 113 AN ACT Making a supplemental appropriation out of the General Fund of the State of Louisiana for the fiscal year 1972-1973 for the ordinary expenses of certain departments and purposes of the State and the implementation of certain programs of State government, including specifically additional and supplemental appropriations to the Public School Fund for salaries of public school teachers, bus operators and other public school employees; to the Charity Hospital of New Orleans and to the Confederate Memorial Medical Center and to the State Department of Hospitals for institutions and programs under its control and administration; to the State Department of Revenue; to the State Penitentiary at Angola; to the Department of Public Welfare for public assistance grants and administration; to the Louisiana State University; to the Louisiana State University at New Orleans and to the colleges and universities under the administration of the State Board of Education; to the Department of Education for vocational education and other educational programs; to the Department of Public Works for improvement projects; to the Commission on the Aging to match Federal programs; to the Office of Economic Opportunity for the Supplemental Food Distribution Program; to the Office of the Attorney General for administrative expenses; for supplemental pay of firemen payable by the State; to the Division of Administration to adjust contributions to the retirement systems affected by House Bill No. 250 of the 1972 Regular Session; to provide for the salaries of additional judges, district attorneys and assistant district attorneys created during the 1972 Regular Session; to the State Parks and Recreation Commission; to the Legislative Council for operating expenses; to the Department of Corrections for administrative expenses; to the Department of Military Affairs; to the State Forestry Commission; to the Louisiana Educational Authority for operating expenses; to certain agencies and commissions under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Agriculture; to the Deep Draft Harbor and Terminal Authority for operating expenses; to the Louisiana State Science Foundation; to the Legislative Auditor, and providing with respect to the expenditures of said supplemental appropriation.

ACT No. 253   AN ACT To amend Title 46 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Chapter, to be designated as Chapter 20 thereof and to contain R.S. 46:1751 through 46:1767, to create and provide for the Louisiana Health and Social and Rehabilitation Services Administration, the commissioner of said agency, and the Louisiana Board of Health, Social and Rehabilitation Services and to consolidate and merge all of the functions exercised by the state, or by authority of the state, in relation to the administration, management and operation of the health, hospital, welfare and related programs and facilities into the Louisiana Health, and Social and Rehabilitation Services Administration; by merging, consolidating and transferring all of the powers, duties, functions and responsibilities of the State Board of Public Welfare and the State Department of Public Welfare, the Louisiana Board of Hospitals and the Louisiana Department of Hospitals, the Board of Administrators of the Charity Hospital of Louisiana at New Orleans, the Board of Directors of the Confederate Memorial Medical Center at Shreveport, the Louisiana State Board of Health and the Louisiana State Department of Health, and its subordinate boards, agencies, divisions or bureaus, and other specifically enumerated boards, commissions, departments, agencies, councils and institutions and related functions and activities of the state; to provide the effect of said merger, consolidation and transfer; to provide the effective date of such merger, consolidation and transfer, and generally and specifically to provide with respect to all of the above.

ACT No. 272  AN ACT To appropriate the sum of Six Thousand ($6,000.00) Dollars out of the general fund of the state of Louisiana for the fiscal year 1972-1973 to pay the compromise judgment in the suit entitled "Valerine Robinson vs. State of Louisiana, through Charity Hospital of Louisiana at New Orleans, Board of Administrators," No. 490-212, Docket No. 4 of the Civil District Court for the parish of Orleans.
