AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 14:34.2(A)(3), relative to battery of a police officer; to provide relative to the elements of the crime of battery of a police officer; to specify that the crime includes the throwing of water and other liquids; to remove the requirement that the offender be incarcerated or detained at the time of the throwing; and to provide for related matters.

AN ACT To enact Code of Criminal Procedure Article 958, relative to suspension of time limitations in declared disaster, emergency, or public health emergency; to provide relative to the authority of the supreme court to suspend certain time periods, limitations, and delays during a declared disaster, emergency, or public health emergency; to provide for the authority to terminate and to extend the suspension period; to provide for certain exceptions; to provide relative to the application of other provisions of law regarding suspension and interruption of time periods, limitations, and delays; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related matters.
