Act 254: AN ACT
To enact R. S. 13:1596(F) and to amend and reenact R.S. 13:1599, relative to the Juvenile Court for the Parish of Jefferson, to provide that the judges of that court may appoint hearing officers to preside over support and support related hearings and make recommendations, to provide for the duties and authority of the hearing officers, to provide for an evaluation of the procedure, to provide for jurisdiction of the court, and to provide for related matters. Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of Louisiana.


Act 965: AN ACT
To amend and reenact R.S. 46:1906.2 and Section 11 of Act 567 of the1984 Regular Session of the Legislature, relative to state services for children adjudicated delinquent or in need of supervision; to retain the division of youth services in the Department of Public Safety and Corrections through July 1, 1989; to provide that the department shall continue to provide care, custody, security, and treatment for children adjudicated delinquent or in need of supervision; to require the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, the Department of Health and Human Resources, and the Juvenile and Family Court Judges Association to consult with each other to develop a consistent, comprehensive policy statement and plan for the treatment of all children adjudicated under the Code of Juvenile Procedure by December 1, 1987; and to provide for related matters.
