A Brief History of the Louisiana Juvenile Courts: 1952

1952

Act 16 set the salary for the judges for the juvenile court for the parish of Orleans at $10,000, payable by the State Treasurer. Act 16 also removed the words "from the same sources as said district judges of the first judicial district" from Section 1564 and inserted in their place "as provided for in R.S. 13:691 and R.S. 13:692."

Act 419 rewrote 13:1565, which concerned the juvenile court for Caddo Parish. The Police Jury for Caddo Parish was now responsible for all necessary expenses; the City of Shreveport no longer had to contribute to the expenses.
