ACT No. 12  AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 624 of Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to nomination papers of candidates for public office, to exempt the nomination papers of candidates for the Orleans Parish School Board from the requirement that the registrar of voters is prohibited from certifying to the signature on such papers of any voter who has registered as affiliating with any political party recognized under Louisiana law.

ACT No. 65  AN ACT To create a retirement plan for elected officials and elected officials of city courts of cities of over twenty- five thousand population; to establish eligibility to participate in said retirement plan; to establish methods of certifying periods of creditable service; to set out methods of computation of amounts to be paid to retired elective officials; to establish amounts to be paid to the surviving spouse of a retired elective official; to establish methods of payment of retirement allowance; to provide for a retirement allowance fund in cities affected; to authorize the submission of budgets; and to provide methods of financing said fund.

ACT No. 67  AN ACT To amend and re-enact R.S. 48:121 relative to the appointment of Ex-Officio Notaries by the Director of Highways. Approved by the Governor: June 24, 1958.

 ACT No. 68  AN ACT Authorizing the Department of Highways of the State of Louisiana to use certain property belonging to the State of Louisiana, and located within the Parish of East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for right-of-way purposes; setting aside such property for right-of-way purposes; and authorizing and empowering the Governor of the State of Louisiana to execute necessary instruments and documents relating to such use.

ACT No. 288  AN ACT To create and establish a System of Classified Civil Service for and with respect to the Municipal Government Employees of the City of Lafayette, Louisiana, excluding the Fire Department and Police Department, to create and establish a Civil Service Board to administer the System of Classified Civil Service for the Municipal Government Employees; to provide for the selection, appointment and removal of the members of such Board, and to define and prescribe the duties, powers, and authority of the Board; to provide for and to authorize the establishment of rules by the Board for personnel administration in the Classified Service; . . . .
