ACT NO. 96. By Mr. O'Connor. House Bill No. 180. AN ACT To provide for the acquisition of a site for, and or the construction and maintenance of a court house building in the City of New Orleans, to be erected jointly by the State of Louisiana and the City of New Orleans and maintained by the City of New Orleans; to make an appropriation therefor; to continue in existence the court house commission heretofore created by Act 79 of the Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Louisiana approved July 5, 1902, and to fix and define the powers, rights, duties and obligations of said Com- mission, and to provide for the payment of the necessary expense of said Commission; to authorize and require the City of New Orleans to provide and appropriate funds for the acquisition of a site for, and for the construction. furnishing and equipment of said court house, said funds to be provided by an issue of bonds of the City of New Orleans under certain conditions and with certain privileges and restrictions; and providing securities and a lien and privilege and moneys for the payment of the principal and interest of said bonds; providing for the sale of said bonds and the disposition of the proceeds thereof, and defining the powers, duties, rights and obligations of the Board of Liquidation of the City Debt of the City of New Orleans with reference to said bonds and the interest thereon: to repeal Act 79 of 1902, in so far as the same may be in conflict with this acf, and also all other laws and parts of laws in conflict with this act.
