ACT No. 202 .  AN ACT To enact R.S. 35:16.2, relative to notaries public; to authorize realty specialists in the United States Forest Service to act as ex officio notaries public to perform certain notarial acts limited to matters within the official duties of the United States Forest Service; and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 489  AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 13:4103 and to enact R.S. 13:4108 and 4108.1, relative to executory process; to provide that the consent of the shareholders, or a copy of an extract or certified photocopy of an extract of the minutes of the meeting of the board of directors or other governing body of a corporation, shall constitute authentic evidence for purposes of an executory proceeding to enforce a mortgage, chattel mortgage, or other security device granted by a corporate debtor; to provide rules governing the circumstances under which a creditor may seek to obtain a deficiency judgment against a debtor or guarantor; to provide exceptions for commercial transactions; to allow a deficiency judgment to occur when seizure and sale occur out of state pursuant to the laws of the state where the seizure and sale occurred; and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 974  AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 9:5136 and to enact R.S. 9:5385, relative to mortgages; to remove the prohibition against naming anyone other than the owner as keeper of the mortgaged property if the owner is occupying the property as his home; to require production of the satisfied promissory note or a release by the mortgagee, his servicing agent, or any holder of the note upon written demand by the person providing fill satisfaction; to provide for liability for noncompliance; and to provide for related matters.
