AN ACT To authorize and empower the Parish of Jefferson, through its Police Jury, to sell certain Real Estate, belonging to the Parish of Jefferson and situated therein, and to provide the method of disposing of said property and to provide what purpose the funds realized there from shall be expended; due notice having been published in accordance with Article 50 of the Constitution of this State.

ACT No. 107. AN ACT To permit donations Mortis Causa or Inter Vivos to be made whereby individuals or banks now or hereafter organized under the laws of this State for the purpose of conducting savings, safe deposit and trust banking business, or which have accepted the provisions of law relative thereto, and banks organized under the Acts of the Congress of the United States, are designated as trustee or trustees; regulating the powers, duties, and actions of such trustee or trustees; exempting all donations of the character, and made in the manner provided in this Act from the provisions of the laws of this State relative to substitutions, trusts, Fidei Commissae and the legitime; provided that nothing in this Act shall be construed to effect the law in regard to the disposable portion, save that it shall be permissible to provide that the legitime or any portion thereof of any forced heir or heirs shall be administered in trust for his or their benefit by said trustee or trustees, the income to be paid annually or oftener to said forced heir or heirs, or his or their legal representatives.

ACT NO. 233. AN ACT To levy, collect and enforce payment of an annual license tax on all persons, associations of persons, firms and corporations pursuing any trade, profession, vocation, calling or business, in pursuance of Article 229 of the Constitution of 1898, and articles amendatory thereof, as repeated and re-adopted in the Constitution of 1913; prescribing the mode and method in which all persons subject to license shall make report of their business; providing remedies to enforce compliance therewith ; prescribing penalties for making false statements or affidavits in relation thereto; and to repeal conflicting and inconsistent laws.
