ACT No. 11  AN ACT Making appropriations for the ordinary expenses of the State Government, pensions, public schools, public roads, public charities and State institutions and providing with respect to the expenditure of said appropriation.

ACT No. 133 AN ACT To amend Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to notaries public, by adding thereto a new Chapter to be designated as Chapter 12 thereof containing R.S. 35:651, to authorize any attorney who resides in Iberville Parish and whose principal business office is in East Baton Rouge Parish to hold a notary commission in East Baton Rouge Parish and to otherwise provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 173   AN ACT To amend and reenact Sections 251 and 252 of Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the number of notaries and their appointments for the Parish of Orleans.

ACT No. 196  AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 35:323 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes, relative to the central office of notarial records and to the deposit of notarial acts and other acts, contracts and instruments with the Custodian of Notarial Records for the Parish of Orleans, and relative to the registry and recording of instruments in the Parish of Orleans and the certifying of copies thereof.

ACT No. 234  AN ACT HOMESTEAD AND SAVINGS AND LOAN LAW RECODIFICATION To amend, revise and re-enact Chapter 9 of Title 6 (Homestead and Building and Loan Associations) of the Louisiana Revised Statutes, to effect a recodification of said laws relating to homestead and building and loan associations, and as part of such revision to repeal the present Part I of Chapter 9 (Homestead and Building and Loan Law, being R.S. 6:721-796), Part II of Chapter 9 (Federal Savings and Loan Association, being R.S. 6:831-842), and Part III of Chapter 9 (Miscellaneous Provisions, being R.S. 6:871-896) of such title, and to enact. . .

ACT No. 239  AN ACT To amend Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Chapter 12, comprising R.S. 35:641, relative to notaries public; to allow attorneys and notaries of the parishes of Assumption and St. Mary to obtain notarial commissions in parishes other than their parish of residence; to establish the manner and parishes wherein such commissions may be obtained; to require the posting of bond; to require compliance with other provisions established by law, and to provide otherwise with respect thereto.

ACT No. 424 AN ACT Ratifying and confirming the "City Court of Baker Louisiana" as now or hereafter established under and by virtue of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Baker, fixing the venue and jurisdiction of said city court, providing for the judge and officers of the court, the manner of their election or appoitment [sic] and the terms of their respective offices; and except as otherwise provided in this act or in the said Home Rule Charter, authorizing the operation of the "City Court of Baker Louisiana" in accordance with the provisions of LRS 13:1871 et seq.

This bill having been submitted to the Governor and no action having been taken within the time provided by the Constitution, said bill becomes law without his approval.

ACT No. 475  AN ACT To amend and reenact Articles 2887 and 2890 of the Louisiana Code of Civil Procedure, both relative to ex parte probate of testaments, to provide for the use of affidavits to prove statutory testaments; and to repeal Section 2444 of Title 9 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the proof of statutory testaments.

This bill having been submitted to the Governor and no action having been taken within the time provided by the Constitution, said bill becomes law without his approval.

ACT No. 508  AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 1423 of Title 9 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to provide that the fees allowed experts, notary publics and appraisers appointed to assist in taking inventories of successions, tutorships, interdictions and other proceedings shall be taxed as costs in such proceedings, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

This bill having been submitted to the Governor and no action having been taken within the time provided by the Constitution, said bill becomes law without his approval.
