ACT No. 225  AN ACT To amend Title 12 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to add thereto a new Chapter 16, comprising R.S. 12:1086 through R.S. 12:1101, both inclusive, to provide for the organization of professional architectural corporations pursuant to the Business Corporations Law, subject to the provisions contained in the Chapter, to provide with respect to architects engaged in the business of offering architectural services in corporate form prior to the effective date hereof, to provide for the authority of the Louisiana State Board of Architectural Examiners to regulate the practice of architecture with respect to the use of the professional corporate form and compliance with the Chapter, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 299  AN ACT To amend and reenact Subsection C of Section 1299.47 of Title 40 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 with regard to the medical review panel and to further amend Section 1299.47 by adding thereto a new Subsection to be designated Subsection K thereof, to provide with respect to residence of attorneys comprising the list for random selection, to change the time period for a defendant to name defendant's physician panelist, to provide for sanction through district courts should a party refuse to perform according to the provisions of Section 1299.47(C), to add a provision for the ceasing of the suspension of prescription after a district court orders the dissolution of the medical review panel, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 335  AN ACT To amend Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Section to be designated as R.S. 35:16, relative to the appointment of ex officio notaries public by district attorneys, to provide for appointments, scope of duties, bond, payment of costs for notarial seals, bonds, and filings, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 384  AN ACT To amend and reenact Subparagraph (e) of Paragraph (2) of Subsection C of Section 191 of Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 to authorize waiver of notarial examination for applicants for a notarial commission who have been admitted to the practice of law or hold a valid notarial commission in this state.

ACT No. 506  AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 121 of Title 48 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, and to amend Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Section to be designated as R.S. 35:16, relative to the Department of Transportation and Development and the Department of Veterans' Affairs, to authorize the secretary and state director of the respective departments to appoint notaries public as needed; and relative to district attorneys, to authorize district attorneys to appoint notaries public as needed, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 607 AN ACT To amend and reenact Articles 178, 179, 180, 181, 198, 199, 200, 203, 206, 207, 208, 261, 915, 917, 918, 919, 921, 922, 923, 924, 925, 926, 927, 928, 929, 1484, 1485, and Paragraph (8) of Article 3556 of the Louisiana Civil Code; to amend and reenact Section 391 of Title 9 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950; and to repeal Articles 182, 183, 202, 204, 245, 920, 1483, 1486, and 1487 of the Louisiana Civil Code; all relative to legitimate and illegitimate relations, to provide with respect to support and inheritance rights and obligations of legitimate and illegitimate children, their parents and other relations; to provide with respect to legitimation and proof of descent, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 686  AN ACT To amend Title 9 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto new sections 422.3 through 422.12, to amend Section 432 of said Title 9 by adding thereto a new Subsection to be designated as Subsection C, and to amend and reenact Sections 429 and 440 of said Title 9, all relative to the voluntary surrender of custody of children for private adoption, to provide with respect to opposition to the adoption of a child privately placed for adoption and the revocation of consent previously granted; to provide with respect to the entering of an interlocutory decree when consent previously granted has been withdrawn; to provide with respect to validating previously rendered adoption decrees, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 700  AN ACT To amend Chapter 2 of Title 42 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, by adding thereto a new Part, to be designated as Part III thereof, to be comprised of R.S. 42:61 through R.S. 42:66, both inclusive, and to repeal Sections 31, 31.1, 33 and 38 of Title 42 and Section 137 of Title 14 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, all relative to dual officeholding and dual employment, to define and regulate dual employment and to define, regulate, and prohibit dual officeholding in state and local governments; to provide penalties for violations, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 731  AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 2152 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 to provide for an increase in the salaries of the judges of the First City Court of New Orleans and for the source of payment thereof; to provide for travel and expense allowances for these judges and for the source of payment thereof; and to otherwise provide with respect thereto.
