ACT No. 4  AN ACT To amend the Louisiana Code of Civil Procedure by amending and re-enacting Articles 1114, 2088, 2416, 2592, 2637, 2642, 3097, and 3098; Article 3191 (to provide for the appointment of an agent by a succession representative); Articles 4034, 4234, 4264, and 4273 (to provide for the appointment or continuance in office of a nonresident tutor); and Articles 5091 and 5185 thereof.

ACT No. 43  AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 281 of Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and to amend said Title 35 to add thereto two new Sections to be designated as R.S. 35:281.1 and R.S. 35:281.2 and also to amend and re-enact Section 284 of said Title 35 relative to the filing by notaries in Orleans Parish of copies of acts transferring real property with the board of assessors for said parish, to require attorneys in and the civil sheriff for Orleans Parish to file with said board of assessors copies of certain judgments and acts affecting such property.

ACT No. 110  AN ACT To amend Title 42 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new chapter to be designated as Chapter 15 thereof comprising Section 1101 through 1123 of Title 42, establishing a code of ethics for governmental affairs in the State of Louisiana for elected state officials, members of the Legislature, members of boards and commissions, employees, and other persons; to establish the Louisiana Board of Ethics for State Elected Officials and fix its powers and duties in connection with said code with respect to elected state officials and members of the Legislature; to establish the Louisiana Commission on Governmental Ethics and fix its powers and duties in connection with said code with respect to state employees and members of boards and commissions; and authorizing and directing the Department of State Civil Service to provide investigative and administrative services for the said Commission and Board in connection with said code, to provide prescriptive periods with respect hereto; and to provide civil and criminal penalties in connection with certain violations hereof.

ACT No. 123 AN ACT To amend and re-enact Sections 2442 and 2443 of Title 9 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the form of statutory wills and the qualifications of testators and witnesses thereto.

ACT No. 199  AN ACT To empower and authorize the State Parks and Recreation Commission of the state of Louisiana to transfer a certain parcel of land, containing 5.6 acres of land, more or less, in Tensas Parish, Louisiana, as described in this Act, in exchange for 0.51 acres, more or less, in Tensas Parish, Louisiana, and as described in this Act; under such conditions and stipulations as said commission may deem proper.

ACT No. 249  AN ACT To amend and re-enact Sub-sections (H), (I) and (J) of Section 968 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and to add thereto Sub-section N, providing for the appointment of deputy court reporters, all relative to court reporters for the fifteenth judicial district.

ACT No. 267  AN ACT To ratify, confirm and approve an act of exchange and the conveyance and transfer by the State Parks and Recreation Commission of Louisiana unto Paul C. Buford of a certain parcel of land in Tensas Parish, as described in this Act, and to ratify, confirm and approve the transfer and conveyance unto the State Parks and Recreation Commission of a certain parcel of land in Tensas Parish as described in this Act, and to provide that such ratification, confirmation and approval shall inure to the benefit of all vendees, their successors, heirs and/or assigns subsequent to the date of the exchange, conveyance and transfer hereby ratified.

ACT No. 282 AN ACT Providing for mandatory civil service for all said firemen and policemen in each municipality having a population of not less than seven thousand nor more than thirteen thousand and in each parish and each fire protection district, City of New Orleans and the 32nd Senatorial District exempted.

ACT No. 310  AN ACT To amend Title 17 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Section, to be designated as Section 60.1 thereof, providing for the Jefferson Parish School Board; the determination of the number of members thereof by referendum in Jefferson Parish; providing for the election and terms of office of the members of said board; prohibiting certain practices in the election of members of that Board and providing penalties for violation thereof, and providing for the organization and operation of said Board.

ACT No. 419  AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 35:323 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes, relative to the central office of Notarial Records and to the deposit of acts, contracts and instruments executed by Notaries Public with the Custodian of the Notarial Records for the parish of Orleans.

ACT No. 437  AN ACT To amend Section 2444 of Title 9 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, as enacted by Act 66 of 1952, by adding thereto an additional Sub-section, to be designated Subsection D., relative to the proof of wills by affidavits; to provide that said Sub-section shall not apply to wills which have been judicially attacked; and to provide that the Court may require the personal attendance of one or more the witnesses to the will, at its discretion.

ACT No. 467  AN ACT To authorize and empower the Louisiana Forestry Commission of the state of Louisiana, through the State Forester or such other official or officer of the Louisiana Forestry Commission as it shall authorize, to sell and convey certain described lands situated in Webster Parish, Louisiana, owned by said Commission and known as the Northwest Louisiana Forestry Commission Nursery.
