ACT No. 86  AN ACT To amend and reenact Subsection D of Section 323 of Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the deposit by notaries public in the parish of Orleans of notarial records with the custodian of notarial records, to make mandatory, instead of optional, the deposit of acts executed prior to January 1, 1966, to provide for charges to be made for unbound acts, a final date for deposits, enforcement of the Act, and for the salary of the custodian.

ACT No. 97  AN ACT To create and establish a system of classified civil service for and with respect to all employees of the Trustee of Public Safety and Trustee of Finance, including the chief of police and city clerk of the city of Thibodaux, Louisiana, excluding employees of the fire department; to authorize said city, through its governing authority, to include other employees not excluded as unclassified employees, within the classified service; to create and establish a civil service board to administer the system of classified civil service for said municipal . . .

ACT No. 108   AN ACT To authorize the Parish of Natchitoches, acting through its Police Jury as the governing authority thereof, to sell certain real property situated in the Parish of Natchitoches, State of Louisiana, and providing conditions under which such sale shall be made, and providing for the disposition of the proceeds of such sale and other matters in connection therewith.

ACT No. 291  AN ACT To amend and reenact Sections 891 and 892 of Title 41 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the sale of unused school lands, to provide for the sale of said lands at public auction or by sealed bids to the highest bidder; to fix the conditions and procedure for such sales.

ACT No. 298  AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 1444 of Title 33 and Section 2052 of Title 47 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the bonds of sheriffs as ex officio tax collectors, to increase the amount of the bond of the sheriff and ex officio tax collector for the parish of East Baton Rouge to the sum of three hundred thousand dollars; to prorate the cost of such bond among the political subdivisions for which the sheriff serves as ex officio tax collector, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 326   AN ACT To amend Title 47 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Section to be designated as R.S. 47:2425, to amend and reenact Articles 2951, 2953, 2954, 3061, 3134, 3135, 3136 and 3137 of the Louisiana Code of Civil Procedure and to amend and reenact Subsection C of Section 2407, Subsections A and C of Section 2408, Subsection C of Section 2409, Sections 2410, 2411, 2419, and Section 2422 all of Title 47 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, all relative to the inheritance tax, to require the filing of an inheritance tax return; to provide with respect to attorneys for inheritance tax collectors; to provide for the prescriptive period for the payment of taxes; to provide for a right of review by the collector of revenue and to otherwise provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 333  AN ACT To Create and provide for a system of Civil Service with respect to all the municipal employees of the City of Kaplan; to create and provide for the organization, powers, functions and duties of the Municipal Employees Civil Service Board of the City of Kaplan and the director of personnel; to provide penalties for violations of this Act or any rule, regulation or order issued hereunder; to provide with regard to matters pertaining to said Civil Service System; and to provide for the effect of general status affecting municipal employees or municipal departments in matters of classified Civil Service for the City of Kaplan.

ACT No. 391  AN ACT To amend and reenact Article 200 of the Louisiana Civil Code, relative to the legitimation of children, to provide that a natural mother or father can legitimate an illegitimate adulterous bastard by authentic act if at the time of the legitimation the natural mother or father has no legitimate children and there exists no impediment to the marriage of the natural mother and father, either at the time of the conception or at the time of the legitimation.

ACT No. 441  AN ACT To amend and reenact Sections 101 through 120 of Title 23 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes, relative to private employment agencies, to redefine the terms; to create the Louisiana Private Employment Agency Advisory Council; to provide for licensing regulations and certificate regulations and other restrictions on Private Employment Agencies.

ACT No. 454   AN ACT To amend Code Book III and Title XII thereof of Title 9 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Chapter 2 entitled Louisiana Consumer Credit Law containing new sections designated R.S. 9:3510 through R.S. 9:3568, to provide for a system of laws relating to certain consumer credit sales, consumer loans, consumer leases and other consumer transactions, security therefor, collection of time-price differential, service, finance and other similar charges thereon and for insurance thereon; to amend the laws relating to interest and usury; to provide for civil and criminal penalties; to prohibit certain collection practices; to provide for creation of a Council of Advisors on Consumer Credit to aid the State Bank Commissioner as commissioner administering and regulating consumer practices under the Louisiana Consumer Credit Law; to amend or repeal certain specific laws and to repeal all other conflicting laws; to provide for the effective date of this Act; and to provide for severability.

ACT No. 458   AN ACT To amend and reenact Sections 251 and 252 of Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the limit of the number of notaries public in the parish of Orleans and the filling of vacancies within said number, to increase the number of notaries public for Orleans Parish.

ACT No. 467  AN ACT To amend and reenact Subsections B and C of Section 323 and Section 327 of Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and to repeal Section 338 of Title 35, to provide with respect to the custodian of notarial acts, fees to be charged, repeal provisions in conflict, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 584  AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 651 of Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to provide that a notary public who is a resident of the parish of Iberville or the parish of West Baton Rouge or parish of West Feliciana and whose principal place of business is in the parish of East Baton Rouge, may qualify as a notary in the parish of East Baton Rouge.

ACT No. 771  AN ACT To amend and reenact Paragraph 5 of Section 702, Sections 704 and 706, Subsection B of Section 708, Subsections A, B, C and F of Section 710, and Paragraph 5 of Section 728 of Title 32 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the definition of floor plan loan, the applicability of the provisions of Chapter 4 of Title 32 to floor plan loans, marketable title, issuance of certificates, satisfaction of chattel mortgages, the form, contents, priority, notation and enforcement of chattel mortgages subject to Chapter 4 of Title 32, and fees charged by the commissioner in certain cases.
