ACT No. 33  AN ACT To create and provide for a system of civil service with respect to certain municipal employees of the town of Marksville; to create and provide for the organization, powers, functions and duties of the Municipal Employees Civil Service Board of the town of Marksville and the director of personnel; to provide penalties for violations of this Act or any rule, regulation or order issued hereunder; to provide with regard to matters pertaining to said civil service system; to provide for the effect of general statutes affecting municipal employees or municipal departments in matters of classified civil service for the town of Marksville; and to provide an effective date for this Act.

ACT No. 180  AN ACT To amend Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Section to be designated as Section 323.1 thereof to grant permission to the custodian of notarial records in and for the parish of Orleans to install and use microfilm machinery and apparatus; and to provide for the use and effects thereof.

ACT No. 181  AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 392 of Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 to change the qualifications with respect to age necessary for appointment as notary public in and for the parish of Caddo.

ACT No. 269  AN ACT To amend and reenact Subsections F through L and to repeal Subsections M and N of Section 968 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to court reporters for the Fifteenth Judicial District; to provide for the salaries, compensation, and duties of said court reporters and the payment of such salaries; to provide for the fees that such reporters shall charge per page of transcriptions and for copies thereof; to provide for the payment of such fees; to provide for payment of one-half the fee for cases reported but not transcribed to require the police juries in the district to provide accomodations and certain furniture and equipment for the court reporter, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 363  AN ACT To amend and as amended to arrange in proper statutory form and incorporate into the statutes the provisions of Article XIV, Section 15.1(6)(b) of the Constitution of 1921, continued as a statute by Article X, Section 18 of the Constitution of 1974, by amending and reenacting Subsection B of Section 2476 of Title 33 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to municipal fire and police civil service boards, by adding to said law a provision that in the city of Lafayette a member of such board representing the police or fire department need not be a resident or qualified voter of said city but shall be a qualified voter of the parish.

ACT No. 404  AN ACT To amend Section 651 of Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to authorize notaries public whose principal office is in a parish other than the parish in which he is a resident to be appointed as a notary public in either parish, and to require such notaries public to meet all other requirements applicable to those parishes.

ACT No. 415  AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 973 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to court reporters for the Second Judicial District, to provide for the establishment of a court reporter's fund for the parish of Jackson in said judicial district, and to provide for the qualifications, duties, appointments and compensation of a court reporter or reporters for said parish.

ACT No. 419  AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 302 of Title 15 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the sentencing of persons to prison districts, to delete the provision permitting Negro juveniles sentenced as delinquent or neglected children to be sentenced to a prison district in any district which maintains a special department for Negro juveniles.

ACT No. 422  AN ACT To amend and reenact Section 391 of Title 9 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 relative to the legitimation of children born of natural parents of different races, to delete restrictions pertaining to race.

ACT No. 632  AN ACT To amend and reenact the title and all provisions of Act No. 288 of the 1958 Regular Session, relative to a system of classified civil service for and with respect to the municipal government employees of the city of Lafayette, excluding the fire department and police department, to provide an enacting clause for said Act, to provide for the appointment of members of the civil service board in conformity with the provisions of the home rule charter of the city of Lafayette, to provide that this Act is remedial legislation, and otherwise to provide with respect to such subject.

ACT No. 634  AN ACT To authorize the Louisiana Health and Human Resources Administration represented through its commissioner, Dr. William H. Stewart, to negotiate for the purchase of, to enter into a purchase agreement for, and to execute all instruments and perform all acts necessary and proper to accomplish the acquisition by purchase for and on behalf of the state, three tracts of land located in the parish of East Feliciana, Louisiana, and to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 654  AN ACT To amend Title 35 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Chapter to be designated as Chapter 14 thereof to contain Section 671, relative to notaries public; to provide for additional jurisdiction for the parish in which a notary works; and to otherwise provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 689  AN ACT To authorize and provide with respect to the borrowing of monies in anticipation of current revenues of each year by Hospital Service District No. 1 of the parish of St. Landry. Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the constitution of Louisiana.

ACT No. 716  AN ACT To amend and reenact Sections 2488.23, 2488.24, 2488.27, 2488.35, and 2488.36 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 all relative to the City Court of Baker, Louisiana, to delete the provisions subjecting such court to the home rule charter; to provide with respect to concurrent jurisdiction of the district court; to provide with respect to the institution of criminal prosecutions; to provide with respect to the qualifications of the judge; to provide for the assessment of additional court costs; to provide with respect to appeals from such court; and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 799  AN ACT To amend and reenact Paragraph (1) of Subsection D of Section 1143 of Title 42 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the sworn statement required to be filed by a public official when rendering services in a transaction involving the state, to provide that such statement is deemed a public record.
