ACT No. 15. AN ACT To provide revenue for the State Board of Health, for use in stamping out tuberculosis and in the care and treatment of tuberculosis patients who are bona fide residents of the State of Louisiana, by levying a tax on all kerosene, sold, used, consumed, handled or distributed in this State; to define "kerosene"; to define "dealers"; providing summary remedies for the enforcement of this Act and for the forfeiture, seizure and sale of property used in violation thereof, providing for the search of suspected places and the examination of books and records for the proper enforcement of this Act; fixing the time of collecting such tax and providing for the expense thereof, prescribing the manner and method of enforcing payment, and fixing penalties for failure to make same, requiring all those engaged in the handling, selling, or distribution of kerosene to make such reports of their business as may be necessary for the proper enforcement of this Act, providing that all said taxes collected under the provisions of this Act shall be paid into the Treasury of the State of Louisiana; providing that the unconstitutionality of any provisions of this Act shall not affect or impair any other part thereof; providing penalties for the violation of this Act, and repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict therewith.

ACT No. 44. AN ACT To amend and re-enact Sections 1 and 3 of Act 46 of 1932, entitled: "An Act providing for the method and procedure of adopting all persons, both majors and minors; for the annulment of such act of adoption; for changing the name of the person adopted; for punishment for contempt, of persons who violate certain provisions of this act; for the recording of said act of adoption; for appeals from judgments rendered in accordance with this act; for the jurisdiction of the Courts under this act; for validating adoption heretofore made; and for the repeal of laws in conflict herewith."

ACT No. 74. AN ACT To continue the municipal corporation of the City of Shreveport, in the Parish of Caddo, Louisiana, and to grant thereto a new charter; to define the boundaries of the said City and to provide for its better police and municipal government; to provide that said new charter be submitted to a vote of the people for adoption or rejection, and for the continuance of said municipal government, under the provisions of Act 302 of 1910 (as amended), in the event that said new charter be rejected.

ACT No. 104. AN ACT To amend Act No. 159 of 1912, and to amend and re-enact Section 16 (as amended by Act 187 of the Regular Session of 1924, as amended by Act 240 of 1932) of said Act, entitled: "An Act to incorporate the City of New Orleans; to provide a Commission form of government for the administration of the affairs of said city; to provide for an initiative, referendum and recall, and for the manner and mode of exercising and submitting the same, and providing penalties for the violation of any of the provisions of this Act in reference to same; to submit this Act to the qualified voters of the City of . . .

ACT No. 105. AN ACT To amend and re-enact Act 88 of 1888, entitled: "An Act to amend and re-enact Section 2519 of the Revised Statutes", relative to the duties of recorders, sheriffs and notaries in passing or executing any act of sale or exchange of real estate.

ACT No. 118. AN ACT To authorize the issuance of an order for executory process when there is variance between an act of mortgage and the note or notes issued in connection therewith, due to clerical error.

ACT No. 169. AN ACT To regulate the mode and manner of executing agreements for the sale of real property by bond for deed contracts; stipulating provisions to make it unlawful to contract to sell real property encumbered by mortgage or lien by bond for deed contracts without first providing a guarantee by the mortgage or lienholder to release said property from said mortgage or lien upon payment of the agreed mortgage release amounts, and providing for such payments to be made to escrow agents regulating the foreclosure of mortgages where there is a bond for deed on the mortgaged property; prohibiting the vendor from requiring promissory notes to represent the purchase price in a bond for deed to property encumbered by mortgage or lien; providing for cancellation for non-performance of said contracts; defining a bond for deed; and providing penalties for any violation of the provisions of this Act.

ACT No. 220. AN ACT To provide for the dispensing with formal inventory and appraisement in connection with appointment of tutors for minors and of curators for interdicts, when the estates of such wards amount to no more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars; and to repeal all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith.

ACT No. 237. AN ACT Authorizing Boards of Commissioners of the duly organized levee districts of Louisiana to anticipate their revenues five years in advance of their availability, by borrowing moneys required for the needs of the district, or to pledge the same to the refunding of certificates of indebtedness by issuing refunding certificates of indebtedness, to issue interest bearing certificates of indebtedness, and to secure such certificates by pledge of their revenues.

ACT No. 37. AN ACT Authorizing Police Juries in certain cases to revoke and set aside the dedication of roads, streets and alleys or parts thereof and to exchange such property, or parts thereof, with owners of other property adjoining or adjacent thereto so that property may be acquired for the laying out and dedication of new roads, streets or alleys leading to any property of the State or any of its subdivisions or that of any of its Boards or Commissions or political corporations; providing a prescriptive period within which suits may be filed by any person, persons, firm, partnership or corporation having or claiming any rights, title or interest in or to the land previously occupied by such road, street or alley-way; providing for the manner of making such exchange and for the dedication of the new road, street or alley and repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith.

ACT No. 15 AN ACT Relative to license taxes, to levy, collect and enforce payment of an annual license tax on all persons, associations of persons, firms and corporations pursuing any trade, profession, vocation, calling or business, as authorized by Section 8 of Article X of the Constitution of 1921, except vendors of ice, bread, and milk; to define "peddlers," "wholesalers," and other classes of business subject to license tax; prescribing the mode and method in which all persons subject to license shall make report of their business; providing remedies to enforce compliance therewith; authorizing parishes and municipalities to levy license taxes; prescribing penalties for violation of this Act, and for making false statements or affidavits in relation thereto; and to repeal conflicting and inconsistent laws.
