ACT No. 73. AN ACT Requiring notaries public for the Parish of Orleans to file a copy of each act of sale, or any other act evidencing a transfer of real estate, together with all surveys, sketches, or blue prints which form part of any act of sale or other act of transfer of real estate with the Board of Assessors for the Parish of Orleans, and providing penalties for the violation of the provisions of this Act.

ACT No. 110. AN ACT To amend and re-enact Sections 74 and 75 of Act 170 of 1898 and to repeal all laws in conflict herewith, especially Act 348 of 1936.

ACT No. 112. House Bill No. 61. By Messrs. Burke, Morvant and Stich. AN ACT To authorize any municipal corporation of the State, where property has been adjudicated to such corporation for unpaid taxes and paving or other local improvement assessments, to enforce the collection of its taxes or paving or other local improvement assessments by taking physical possession of the property adjudicated to it and by leasing or renting such property and collect- ing rentals therefrom and/or, after the expiration of the period fixed by law for the redemption of such adjudicated property, to authorize such municipal corporation to dispose of such property; providing the manner in which such physical possession shall be acquired; regulating the manner and terms on which such adjudicated property may hereafter be sold; prescribing the duties of certain officers with regard there- to; to provide how the property shall be advertised, and to provide the manner in which said sales shall be made; to establish the effect of the deed of sale, and the validity of sales under this Act and to establish the prescription of all actions to annul sales under this Act, and to provide for the payment of all costs out of the proceeds of sale; and repealing all laws in conflict herewith.

ACT No. 116. AN ACT To regulate the issuance of tax, paving and other local improvement assessment research certificates by tax and assessment collectors of municipal corporations in this State, having a population of over three hundred thousand inhabitants; to require such certificates to be annexed to all public acts involving the sale, transfer, donation, partition, or other conveyance of real estate located in said municipal corporations; to provide penalties for the violations of this Act; and to repeal all laws in conflict herewith.

ACT No. 127. AN ACT Relative to Prison Districts and Prison Farms; to authorize the district courts to sentence to imprisonment at hard labor on any Prison Farm in any Prison District in the judicial district where the prosecution is had, any person convicted of a crime where the punishment may be at hard labor; or is necessarily at hard labor, excepting certain crimes from the provisions of this Act; regulating such imprisonment, and providing for holding negro juveniles who have been sentenced as delinquent or neglected children for the violation of any law the punishment prescribed for which may be, or is necessarily, at hard labor.

ACT No. 203. AN ACT To provide additional duties and qualifications for the Custodian of Notarial Records in and for the Parish of Orleans; to provide for the giving of a surety bond by said Custodian; to provide certain additional duties for Notaries Public in and for the Parish of Orleans; to provide that Notaries Public in and for the Parish of Orleans shall furnish certain information to the said Custodian; to provide for the testing of the bonds of Notaries Public in and for the Parish of Orleans by the said Custodian, annually; to provide for proceedings in certain cases where the proper official is unable to serve such Notary Public; to provide grounds for the revocation of a commission of a Notary Public in and for the Parish of Orleans; to provide the method and make it the duty of the said Custodian to bring proceedings to cancel such Notary's commission in certain cases; to provide a penalty for acting as a Notary Public in and for the Parish of Orleans after the expiration or cancellation of his bond; to provide penalties for the violation of this Act; to define certain terms used herein; to provide that the invalidity of any portion of this Act shall not affect the remainder; to provide for the repeal of all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith, and especially Section 10 and Section 11 of Act 42 of 1890.

Act 227 AN ACT To fix the compensation of the Clerks of District Courts and Ex-Officio Recorders throughout the State, the. Parishes of Orleans, Tensas, Madison, Red River, Plaquemines, Caddo and East Feliciana excepted; to provide for deputies, clerical and other assistants and defraying expenses; to provide for the disposition of the surplus receipts, if any, of the Clerks of District Courts' office; to provide penalties for the violation of this Act; and to repeal all laws contrary to, or in conflict with, this Act.

ACT No. 332. AN ACT To provide an additional method of procedure for determining boundaries between lands belonging to the State of Louisiana, and contiguous or abutting land owners.

ACT No. 355. AN ACT To ratify and confirm the purchase and acquisition of certain pieces or parcels of land together with all improvements thereon by the State Hospital Board, and to dedicate the use of said lands and improvements to the State Hospital Board within the State Department of Public Welfare.

ACT No. 421. AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 1 of Act 156 of 1912 (as amended and re-enacted by Act 260 of 1918) entitled: "An Act to authorize litigants who are unable to pay costs to litigate as plaintiff, defendant, or intervenor, in the courts of this State without the previous or current payment of costs and without giving a bond for costs, and fixing the extent, terms, conditions and manner of exercising the right herein granted."
