ACT No. 125  AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 35:191(P), to authorize attorneys who are notaries public in and for a parish in this state to exercise the functions of a notary public in any parish, thereby deleting an exception for the parishes of St. Helena and Tangipahoa, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 245  AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 35:2(A) and to enact R.S. 35:2.1, relative to notaries public; to authorize notaries to execute an affidavit of correction to reconcile or correct any obvious discrepancy or error in the description of an immovable; to provide for affidavits of correction; and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 274  AN ACT To amend and reenact R. S. 33:2536(B), relative to municipal fire and police civil service boards in municipalities from seven thousand to thirteen thousand population and in all parishes and fire protection districts; to provide for the eligibility of the two members of the board elected from the fire and police departments; to require that such members shall have been residents of the parish in which the area they are to serve is located for five years prior to appointment, subject to the approval of the local governing authority; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

ACT No. 393  AN ACT To amend and reenact Code of Civil Procedure Articles 2883 and 2890, relative to ex parte probate of olographic testaments; to provide with respect to the use of a written affidavit to prove that an olographic will was entirely written, dated, and signed in testator's handwriting; to require that the proces verbal be dispensed with if written affidavits only are used to prove an olographic will; and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 774  AN ACT To enact R.S. 26:71.2, 80.1, 271.1, and 272.1; to amend and reenact R.S. 26:71(A)(3)(b) and (5), 26:271, and 26:432; and to repeal R.S. 26:272(3) and (4), relative to alcoholic beverages; to provide with respect to the issuance of a Class "R" permit to a restaurant holding a retailer's Class "A" permit for sale of beverages of low or high alcohol content; to define "restaurant"; to provide for the contents of the application; to require applicants to pay an administrative fee for the issuance of such permits; to prohibit local and parish governing authorities from closing certain establishments during specified times; to provide that Class A and Class B retail dealer's permit for beverages of high and low alcoholic content may be issued to the same person at the same location but at separate premises; to provide for maintaining separate records of sales; to provide for penalties; to increase the fees for permits for the manufacture or sale of alcoholic beverages at wholesale or retail; to provide for collection of the tax on the sale at retail of alcoholic beverages; to provide for the administration of such tax; to provide for dedication of a portion of the proceeds of such tax; and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 959  AN ACT To authorize and direct the state of Louisiana through the office of lands and natural resources of the Department of Natural Resources to release and quitclaim unto the American Lung Association of Louisiana, Inc. all the interest of the state in and to the minerals and mineral rights in certain property located in the Odom Tract of East Baton Rouge Parish, and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.
