ACT NO. 36. AN ACT To amend and re-enact Sections 7, 8, and 9 of Act No. 276, of 1928 as amended by Act No. 142 of 1934, said Act No. 276 of 1928 entitled: "An Act to amend and re- enact Act 234 of 1918 entitled: An Act abolishing the offices of justice of the peace and constable in the Seventh Ward .of the Parish of Tangipahoa, and creating in their stead the City Court of Hammond and the necessary officers of said Court and defining the qualifications, powers and terms of officers, and the time and manner of election or appointment, jurisdiction of said Court, manner of taking appeals therefrom, domicile of said Court and method of executing process, and providing their salaries and fees, and providing for the disposition of the fines and penalties assessed and collected by said Court and for the care and use of the prisoners awaiting trial and tried and convicted by said Court and to repeal all laws or parts of laws in conflict with this Act."

AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section 3 of Act 60 of 1914, entitled: "An Act to further carry into effect Articles 296 and 297 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana in relation to public health and to provide the method, manner and means of defraying the expense of collecting vital statistics; allowing certain charges to be made in relation thereto; fixing the duties of certain officers and of boards of health in relation thereto; allowing certificates of registrars of vital statistics to be received in evidence; fixing a penalty for the violation of this Act."

ACT NO. 263. AN ACT Providing for and creating the Ninth Ward in the Parish of St. Mary, Louisiana, and the fixing of its boundaries on part of what is known as and named Tiger Island; providing for the appointment by the Governor of the State of Louisiana of a Justice of the Peace, a Constable, a Police Juror, and a Member of the School Board of the Parish of St. Mary for the same, for a term of four years; providing that thereafter such Justice of the Peace, Constable, Police Juror, and Member of the School Board shall be elected for the same term and at the same time as now or as may hereafter be fixed by law for the election of all other Justices of the Peace, Constables, Police Jurors, and Members of the School Board, who shall serve until their successors are elected and qualified; providing that any such officer shall be a resident and a qualified elector of the said Ward Nine hereby created, and whose salaries and/or expenses shall be paid as now provided by law; and repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith.
