ACT No. 180 AN ACT To enact R.S. 13:2583.4, relative to the appointment of a deputy constable in Ascension Parish; to authorize a constable of a justice of the peace court in Ascension Parish to appoint a deputy; to provide for compensation; to provide for qualifications of office; to provide for residency requirements; to provide for prohibitions; and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 222 AN ACT To enact Code of Criminal Procedure Article 202(E) and R.S. 49:251.4, relative to warrant of arrest; to provide that a justice of the peace shall not have the authority to issue a warrant for arrest unless he has received a certificate of completion for the required training course which has included education on the proper issuance of arrest warrants; to provide for the Attorney General's Arrest Warrants Course for Justices of the Peace; to require the attorney general's training course for justices of the peace to include specified subject matter areas; to provide for implementation; and to provide for related matters.
