ACT No. 140 AN ACT To enact R.S. 13:2605, relative to justice of the peace courts in West Carroll Parish, to provide for the number of such courts, to provide for the territorial jurisdiction of the court, to provide with respect to the election of the justice of the peace and constable, and to provide for related matters.

Act 248 AN ACT To enact R.S. 13:2582(D) and R.S. 42:39.2, relative to justices of the peace; to provide that no person appointed by the Supreme Court to temporarily fill a vacancy in the office of justice of the peace shall be eligible to run as a candidate to permanently fill such position; and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 696 AN ACT To amend and reenact Title 26 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to be comprised of R.S. 26:1 through 801, relative to alcoholic beverages; to generally revise laws regulating alcoholic beverages; to provide for permits and fees; to provide prohibitions and penalties; to provide for the administration and enforcement of laws regulating alcoholic beverages; to define terms; to provide for taxes applicable to alcoholic beverages and to provide exemptions therefrom; and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 886 AN ACT To amend and reenact Civil Code Book I, Title IV, Chapters 1 through 5, formerly comprising Articles 86 through 119, to comprise Chapters 1 through 4, Articles 86 through 101; to amend Civil Code Article 136; to enact Code of Civil Procedure Article 74.3; to amend and reenact Chapter 1 of Code Title IV of Code Book I of Title 9 of the Revised Statutes, formerly beginning with Section 201 and ending with Section 284, to comprise Sections 201 through 263; and to repeal R.S. 40:43 and 40:56; all relative to marriage; nullity of marriage; incidents and effects of marriage; termination of marriage; marriage officiants; marriages of minors; applications for marriage licenses; delays and ceremony; record keeping; oppositions to marriage; and marriages contracted between collateral relations before September 11, 1981; to provide for the general principles governing marriage, nullity of marriage, the incidents and effects of marriage, contracts between cohabitants, and termination of marriage; to consolidate and recodify the law governing marriage ceremonies; to provide for the effective date of the act; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.
