ACT No. 12 House Bill No. 259. By: Mr. Folkes. AN ACT To amend Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new Section, to be designated as R.S. 13:2588, relative to justices of the peace, to reduce the number of justices of the peace and justice of the peace wards in the parish of West Feliciana by abolishing all existing wards and creating in lieu thereof one ward comprising the entire parish, with one justice of the peace therein.

ACT No. 29 House Bill No. 289. By: Mr. Villar. AN ACT To amend and reenact Paragraph (1) of Subsection A of Section 1872 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to city courts, to provide for the election of a city court judge and marshal for the city of Donaldsonville only after the question of the creation of a city court has been submitted to the qualified electors of said city and otherwise to provide with respect thereto. Notice of intention to apply for the passage of this Act has been published and evidence of such publication exhibited to the Legislature, both as provided by Section 6 of Article IV of the Constitution of Louisiana.

ACT No. 215 AN ACT To amend Title 49 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the duties of Attorney General, to add thereto a new Section to be designated as Section 251.1 of Title 49; to provide for the attorney general to conduct courses of training and education for persons elected to full terms to the offices of justice of the peace and constable to be known as the Justice of the Peace Training Course; to appropriate the sum of Four Thousand ($4,000.00) Dollars out of the general fund for the fiscal year 1970-1971 for the expenses thereof; and generally to provide for matters pertaining thereto.

ACT No. 364 AN ACT To amend and reenact Subsection C of Section 1899 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 to authorize the judge in the mayor's court in Many, Sabine Parish to: increase the court costs by five dollars in all criminal matters, to be used to defray the expenses of the marshal's office of said court, and to amend and reenact Subsection A of Section 2488.1 of Title 13 of said Louisiana Revised Statutes to provide with respect to the election of successors to the office of city court judge and marshal of the city of Franklin, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto.
This bill having been submitted to the Governor and no action having been taken within the time provided by the Constitution, said bill becomes law without his approval.

ACT No. 563 AN ACT To amend and reenact Subsection A of Section 1872 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the establishment of city courts, by providing that in wards containing cities of more than four thousand inhabitants, the voters thereof may elect a city judge after a referendum has been held in the ward to determine whether the people of the ward want such a court, and to provide for exceptions, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto.
This bill having been submitted to the Governor and no action having been taken within the time provided by the Constitution, said bill becomes law without his approval.
