ACT No. 4 AN ACT Creating the City Court of Abbeville, Louisiana; providing for the necessary employees and officers of said court; defining the qualifications, powers and terms of office of said officers; providing for the salaries and fees of the employees and officials of said court; and regulating in general the authority, jurisdiction and procedure in said court.

ACT No. 53 AN ACT To amend Sections 491, 494, 495, 497, 498, 499, 500, 503, 507, 510, 511, 512, and 513 of Part VII, Sub-Part E, of Title 56 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 relative to all salt water shrimp and parts thereof in the waters of the State, declaring same to be the property of the State of Louisiana; to provide the manner and extent of their reduction to private ownership and license fees to be paid in connection therewith; to encourage, protect, preserve, regulate, and develop the shrimp industry of the State of Louisiana; to provide penalties for the violation of the provisions of this Act, and to preserve all prosecutions heretofore accruing under all prior laws; and to repeal Sections 514, 515, 516, 517, 518, 519, 520, 521, 524, and 525 of Part VII, Sub-Part E of Title 56 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 relative to the imposition and collection of civil penalties for the violation of these provisions.

ACT No. 134   AN ACT To amend Section 385 of Part VII, Sub-Part B of Title 56 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 relative to the conservation and protection of fish, crabs, frogs, tarrapin [sic]and all other aquatic life of commercial or economic value existing in this state, title of which is vested in the state in its sovereign capacity; to provide penalties for the violation of the provisions of Sub-Part B of Part VII of Title 56 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950; and to repeal Sections 390, 391, 392, 393, 394, 395, 396, 397 and 399 of Sub-Part B of Part VII of Title 56 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 providing for the recovery of civil penalties for infractions of this Sub-Part; giving jurisdiction to any Justice of the Peace and to competent municipal courts in the parish where the offense was committed in cases where the amount involved does not exceed the jurisdiction of the court regardless of where the defendant may reside; providing for proceedings in pursuit of such demands for execution of judgment; and to repeal all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith.

ACT No. 399 AN ACT To amend Chapter 18 of Title 3 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto a new part to be designated as Part VIII thereof to contain R.S. 3:3001 through 3:3014, to provide for a method of livestock regulation by local option in the wards of the state on the highways not already provided for; and imposing penalties.
