ACT NO. 25. AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section Four (4) of Act No. 191 of 1910, entitled “An Act abolishing the offices of the Justices of the Peace and Constable in the Third (3) Ward of the Parish of Lafayette, and creating in their stead the City Court of the City of Lafayette, consisting of Judge and Marshal and defining their qualifications, powers, jurisdiction and term of office, providing for their salaries and fees, place of office and manner of executing process;” as amended and re-enacted by act No. 298 of the General Assembly of the year 1914, approved July 9, 1914; due notice in accordance with Article 50 of the Constitution having been given for thirty days of the intention to apply for the passage of this act.

ACT NO. 110. AN ACT To amend and re-enact Section five of Act 103 of 1898, as amended by Act 29 of 1900 of the General Assembly of the State of Louisiana, entitled an Act abolishing the office of Justice of the Peace and Constable in ward four Caddo Parish, and creating in their stead, the City Court of the City of Shreveport consisting of Judge and Marshal, and defining their qualifications, powers, jurisdiction and term of office; providing for their salaries and fees and place of office and method of executing process.

ACT NO. 120. AN. ACT. An act to carry into effect Section 22 of Article Six of the Constitution of Louisiana for the year 1921. To impose an annual graded license tax upon all motor and other vehicles using the public highways of the State. Designating the Secretary of State to collect such license tax, and defining his powers and duties in connection therewith and to authorize in certain cases, the return of the whole or a part of the license taxes to certain parishes. To define, control and regulate motor and other vehicles, their registration, use and operation, which may be used on the public highways of the State; giving the Louisiana Highway Commission full authority to make the necessary rules governing and controlling the registration of chauffeurs and dealers, vesting the said Commission with power to provide or cause to be provided proper safeguards on highways, bridges and vehicles, and to make rules and regulations affording proper protection to life and property; providing punishment and penalties for infraction of any section or sections of this or any other Act pertaining to highways of the State.

ACT NO. 123 AN ACT. To carry into effect Section 4 of Article XIX of the Constitution of 1921 by providing that “no person shall hold or exercise, at the same time, more than one office of profit, except that of justice of the peace or notary public; and to provide penalties for the violations thereof.”
