ACT No. 16 AN ACT Abolishing the Seventeenth Justice of the Peace Court of St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, and the offices of Justice of the Peace and Constable of said Court, and creating in their stead the City Court of the City of Eunice and the offices of Judge and Marshal of said City Court; defining the procedure and jurisdiction of said Court, the manner of taking appeals therefrom, fixing the domicile of said Court and the Method of executing process; defining the qualification, powers and terms of office of the officers of said Court, the time and manner of election or appointment of said officers, and providing for the salaries and fees of the officers of said Court; providing for the disposition of fines and penalties assessed and collected by said Court, and for the care and use of the prisoners awaiting trial and tried and convicted by said Court; providing for the appointment of stenographers for said Court, and for the compensation of said stenographers; providing for a seal for said Court; providing for the formulation and promulgation of rules for said Court; and to repeal all laws or parts of laws, general or special, in conflict with this act.

ACT No. 60 AN ACT To amend Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by adding thereto new sections to be designated as R.S. 13:2082.1 through R.S. 13:2482.18, relative to the creation of a City-Court in Sulphur and Ward 4, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.

ACT No. 368 AN ACT To abolish the offices of Justice of the Peace and Constable in Ward 2 of Webster Parish, Louisiana, and to establish in lieu thereof the City Court of Springhill, Louisiana, consisting of a Judge and a Marshal and the necessary employees and defining the qualifications, powers, jurisdiction and terms of office; providing for the salaries and fees of the employees and officials of said Court and the manner of payment thereof; regulating in general the authority, jurisdiction and procedure in said Court; repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith; providing that if any section, paragraph, clause, or sentence should be declared unconstitutional or illegal for any reason it shall not affect the remaining portions of said Act and to provide the effective date hereof.

ACT No. 380 AN ACT Making an appropriation to the Secretary of State of the sum of $15,000.00, or as much thereof as may be necessary, out of the General Fund for the fiscal year 1954- 1955, to defray the cost of printing 5,000 copies of the Constitution of Louisiana.
