ACT No. 295 AN ACT To enact R.S. 13:2583.1 and to amend and reenact R.S. 13:3477 and 3478, relative to constables, to allow certain constables to appoint deputy constables, to provide for their compensation, to provide relative to inability and refusal of constables and deputy constables to act, to provide for training, and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 296 AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 13:2586(C) and 2589(B), and R.S. 25:1113(A), and to enact R.S. 13:2586(D) and 2587.1, relative to the jurisdiction and authority of the justice of the peace courts to adjudicate litter violations, to provide for appeals of the court's adjudication, to provide for the prosecution of such violations in such courts, to provide for the allocation of monies derived from fines, and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 297 AN ACT To enact R.S. 13:2586.1 and 2586.2, relative to the justices of the peace, to permit justices of the peace to act as ex officio notary publics with limited functions, to exempt a justice of the peace from posting bond and taking the notary examination to become an ex officio notary public, and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 298 AN ACT To amend and reenact Code of Civil Procedure Art. 4912, relative to justice of the peace courts, to provide that landowners and lessors may file eviction suits in justice of the peace courts, to limit the jurisdiction of the justice of the peace courts in suits by landowners or lessors for commercial and farm leases, and to provide for related matters.
